Syrian refugee children attend Early Childhood and Care Development classrooms, organised by the Education team at Save the Children Lebanon.

‘’I learned how to be clean,’’ Rama started. ‘’brush my teeth, wash my hands with water and soap and use the towel.’’
‘’I can count and write the letters.. A.. B..C.. I like the teacher because she tells us stories. I like to study.’’

Sixteen children are divided into four tables in this tent in Al Akiddiyeh informal settlement in Bekaa. Each groups work on different activities that include writing, reading, watching videos and painting.
The programme aims to prepare children between the age of 3-6 for school, through providing basic literacy and numeracy material.
