Resumen: La Educación y la Dirección de Formación (Veta) ha empezado a ofrecer cursos en línea con el objetivo de permitir que muchas más personas adquieren habilidades a un precio asequible. En su intervención en las exposiciones Nane Nane en el recinto John Mwakangale, coordinador Veta de formación a través de teléfonos móviles Rajab Ghuliku, dijo que había cinco cursos en línea disponibles.
Mbeya — The Vocational Education and Training Authority (Veta) has started offering online courses in a bid to enable many more people acquire skills at an affordable cost.
Speaking at the Nane Nane exhibitions at the John Mwakangale grounds, Veta coordinator of training through mobile phones Rajab Ghuliku, said there were five online courses bring offered.
These include electricity installation for domestic use, motorcycle mechanics, mobile phone repairs, aluminum production, welding, beauty care and modelling.
Mr Ghuliku noted further that the innovation would enable Veta reach out to more trainees.
The online courses are run jointly with Airtel and anyone with a smartphone will receive course material and after finishing the training would sit for exams.
He said the final examinations would also involve practicals. One of the trainees who had enrolled for the electricity installation course, Mr Salehe Shomari, said he was undertaking practicals at the Veta pavilion at the show.
