Noticia original:
It is working, a great many thanks to our PM Voreqe Bainimarama in his
foresight to ask our international development partners and NGOs that they
adopt a Fijian school devastated by the monster Severe TC Winston.
Of special mention is QVS who have benefitted with the Indonesian
Government now finalising arrangements on key issues to adopt and fully
reconstruct this all boys’ boarding school courtesy of their government and
its people.
It is a very noble gesture and it will see our Fijian children benefit many
folds from this opportunity and arrangements, but I have yet to hear a word
of «vina du riki» to our PM and Dr Reddy from the QVS PTA and their former
scholars’ association.
Out of the total 42 primary schools damaged, our mates from the land Down
Under, Australia, have opted to adopt a whopping 26 schools from the
Western and Northern divisions with a budget of $1.6m. Thank you to both
these governments and their lovely people for their generous, humanitarian,
meaningful and the beneficial sacrifices your country has made to rescue
and uplift Fiji’s education sector.
