India: Cottom College Celebrates 116th Foundation Day

Resumen: Universidad del algodón celebra zijn día de la fundación en su 116ª Kalaguru Bishnu Prasad Rabha (KBR) Auditorio aquí hoy. El Dr. Arup Kumar Misra, director, Assam Tecnología Ciencia y Consejo de Medio Ambiente (ASTEC), hace hincapié en todos los que participan en el campo de la enseñanza  están orgullosos de lo que hacen  así como la motivación. El Dr. Misra remitir hizo hincapié en la  habilidad y el desarrollo empresarial en beneficio de la comunidad estudiantil. Premio de Sahitya Akademi ganador y ex jefe del Departamento de Geografía de la universidad del algodón, Suren Talukdar, Premio Akademi sahitya ganador y eminente escritor y poeta Kuladhar Saikia y  Dip Bhuyan . PK Borthakur, Secretario Principal, Departamento de Educación, asistió a la función que el invitado principal, mientras que el invitado de honor fue el Dr. Dhrubajyoti Saikia, Vicerrector, Universidad Universidad Estatal de algodón. Dr. Nirada Devi, director, universidad del algodón, ook presente prolongación fue la celebración del día de la fundación. Tres ex alumnos de la Universidad Cotton ulcers’ll serán reconocidos por sus logros notables en diferentes ámbitos de la vida. Los antiguos alumnos de la universidad – Barun Purkayastha, Subhrajyoti Bora y Mamoni Doley – ulcers’ll ser felicitados para despejar el examen Comisión de Servicios Públicos de la Unión (UPSC) en 2015 y 2016 respectivamente. Otro aspecto destacado del programa fue el lanzamiento formal del boletín anual de la universidad, Eventos y titulares de posición de los Estados de la clase en las artes y las ciencias corrientes del examen Media Superior, 2015 y los estudiantes han logrado en el campo de los deportes.

 

Cotton College celebrated its 116th foundation day at its Kalaguru Bishnu Prasad Rabha (KBR) Auditorium here today.

Dr Arup Kumar Misra, Director, Assam Science Technology & Environment Council (ASTEC), while delivering the foundation day lecture, said that an educational institution should not be solely judged by its academic credentials, but also by its contribution and impact on the society at large.

He also emphasised that everyone engaged in the field of teaching should be proud of what they do and should exude power motivation. Dr Misra further laid stress on the importance of skill and entrepreneurship development for the benefit of the student community.

Sahitya Akademi Award (translation) winner and former head, Department of Geography, Cotton College, Suren Talukdar, Sahitya Akademi Award winner and eminent writer and poet Kuladhar Saikia and award-winning filmmaker Dip Bhuyan were felicitated on the occasion.

PK Borthakur, Principal Secretary, Education Department, attended the function as the chief guest, while the guest of honour was Dr Dhrubajyoti Saikia, Vice Chancellor, Cotton College State University.

Dr Nirada Devi, principal, Cotton College, was also present during the foundation day celebration.

Three former students of Cotton College were also honoured for their remarkable achievements in different walks of life. Former students of the college – Barun Purkayastha, Subhrajyoti Bora and Mamoni Doley – were also felicitated for clearing the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examination in 2015 and 2016 respectively.

Another highlight of the programme was the formal release of the annual college newsletter, Events. State position holders of the college in the arts and science streams of the Higher Secondary examination, 2015 and student achievers in the field of sports were also felicitated on the occasion
