Sino-US exchanges on talent cultivation

China’s Education Minister, Chen Baosheng, met with a delegation from the US, led by the president of the Blackstone Group, Stephen Schwarzman on Sept 7, to exchange ideas on Sino-US cooperation in the field of education.

Chen spoke of the significance of Schwarzman Scholars Program at Tsinghua University and of the good results of this global program and its importance to Sino-US people-to-people exchanges for selecting young talented people and cultivating leaders who are familiar with Chinese society and culture.

Chen also said that he hoped Schwarzman Scholars Program can be a pilot project for Sino-US education cooperation.

Schwarzman described the development situation of the program and indicated that he will continue to support the program and help cultivate more young talents for the Sino-US education and exchanges.
